Join a community of educators and innovators at our stunning Penryn campus in Cornwall, one of the UK's most creative and inspiring regions. We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Associate Lecturer in BA(Hons) Television and Film Production to join our dynamic team within the School of Film and Television.

As an Associate Lecturer on the BA(Hons) Television and Film Production, you will deliver module content and core undergraduate teaching primarily on 2nd and 3rd year delivery. Module content centers primarily on screenwriting for television drama series. It is essential to have experience as a screenwriter on broadcast TV drama series as well as experience supporting and developing new screenwriting talent through short films and TV series pilots.

It’s advantageous to have direct experience in professional television writers' rooms and / or story conferences and to understand the requirements of teaching screenwriting at 2nd and / or 3rd year undergraduate level.

Hours and days worked are negotiable in advance, but in most cases Associate Lecturers commit to an agreed number of hours for a specific taught module for an entire Study Block.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
