Construction and the Built Environment

Salary: Competitive hourly rate
Hours: Variable / Flexible, evenings

Francis James is a growing higher education provider delivering a BSc (Hons) Construction and the Built Environment programme, through live evening lectures via Teams.

We are seeking talented and experienced Associate Lecturers to support teaching across a range of construction and built environment disciplines.

We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals with expertise in:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Building Services Engineering
  • Quantity Surveying
  • Construction Management

The Role

You will contribute to the delivery of engaging and industry-relevant teaching through lectures, and workshops, helping students develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for success within the construction sector.

Requirements

  • A degree in a relevant discipline
  • Significant professional experience within the construction and built environment sector
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A passion for learning

Teaching qualifications and Higher Education experience are preferred but not essential. We particularly encourage applications from experienced practitioners wishing to move into Higher Education.
