The Role

The purpose of the position is to provide legal advice and support as an Associate Legal Counsel and part of the Legal team in EME on a wide range of legal issues, including managing own matters under supervision, drafting, reviewing and advising on Agreements, instructing and liaising with external legal counsel in respect of contentious issues where necessary; interfacing with various parts of the business at all levels and assisting with the resolution of all legal issues arising therefrom among other activities as seen below.

Your Impact

  • Support drafting and reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements and maintaining accurate legal documentation.
  • Utilization of AI tools to increase efficiency and demonstrate a curious mindset, finding new ways to improve processes within the team.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare reports/advice, and ensure high accuracy in all deliverables.
  • Manage contracts and handle legal queries efficiently using contract management systems.
  • Assist with legal advisory, litigation matters, and company secretarial activities while supporting team initiatives.

Your Experience And Qualification

  • Minimum 0-12 months of experience working in a legal team as a qualified junior lawyer.
  • Degree level qualification in Law, General Diploma in Law (GDL) or CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice.
  • Legal Practice Certificate (LPC) - Nice to have.
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant sector.
