Associate Legal Counsel (EME) – Legal

About the Role

The Associate Legal Counsel will provide legal advice and support as part of Agco’s Legal team, overseeing a broad range of legal matters in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will:

  • Draft, review, and advise on Agreements
  • Instruct and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary
  • Manage matters independently under supervision
  • Interface with all levels of the business and resolve legal challenges
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance and risk mitigation

Your Impact

You’ll contribute to critical legal functions with both analytical precision and innovative problem-solving:

  • Contract Management: Safeguard commercial agreements and maintain legal documentation standards.
  • AI & Process Optimization: Leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency—imagine the future of legal workflows!
  • Legal Research & Deliverables: Produce accurate legal reports that support strategic decision-making.
  • Query Resolution: Handle legal inquiries efficiently using contract management systems.
  • Business Support: Assist in litigation, advisory work, and secretarial affairs, while championing in-initiative team projects.

Requirements

Ideal candidates bring both legal expertise and curiosity to their role:

  • Minimum 12–18 months of experience in a legal team, typically as a junior lawyer
  • Degree-level qualifications in:
    • Law, or a General Diploma in Law (GDL)
    • CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice
    • Accepts also the Legal Practice Certificate (LPC)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant sector (e.g., business, finance, economics)
  • Supervised experience in drafting/reviewing agreements is a strong asset
  • Proficient in contract management systems and MS Office
