About The Role

Associate – Lettings Consultant- Lettings Completion Solutions

Job Description

Knight Frank is seeking to recruit an ambitious and commercially driven Associate to join the Lettings Completion Solutions Team.

This unique hybrid role combines client relationship management, property acquisition, and lettings negotiation. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing new instructions from existing and prospective clients, whilst also overseeing the successful letting of those properties from instruction through to completion.

Working closely with internal departments, private clients, landlords, developers and relocation agents, you will play a key role in growing the team's portfolio, maximising revenue opportunities and ensuring an exceptional client experience throughout the lettings journey.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Property Acquisition

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, investors, developers and introducers to generate new business opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new property instructions through proactive business development activities.
  • Conduct market appraisals and instruction meetings, providing clients with expert advice on pricing, marketing strategy and market conditions.
  • Prepare and deliver professional market appraisals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Grow the team's market share by identifying opportunities to win new instructions across London.
  • Build strong internal relationships with Knight Frank offices and departments to maximise referral opportunities.
  • Ensure all properties are launched efficiently and marketed to the highest standard.
  • Maintain regular communication with landlords and clients regarding market trends, pricing recommendations and portfolio performance.
  • Create and implement strategies to increase instruction volumes and improve conversion rates.

Lettings Negotiation & Transaction Management

  • Manage a portfolio of available properties, ensuring maximum exposure and occupancy.
  • Qualify prospective tenants and match applicants to suitable properties.
  • Conduct viewings and negotiate tenancy agreements on behalf of landlords.
  • Drive transactions from initial enquiry through to successful completion.
  • Negotiate offers and tenancy terms, securing the best possible outcome for clients.
  • Collaborate with property management, tenancy progression and compliance teams to ensure smooth completions.
  • Monitor deal progression and proactively resolve issues that may delay transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM systems and ensure all administrative processes are completed to a high standard.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed individual and team revenue targets.

Client Service & Market Expertise

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the client and tenant journey.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with landlords and tenants.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of local lettings markets, rental trends and competitor activity.
  • Provide clients with regular feedback, market intelligence and strategic recommendations.
  • Uphold Knight Frank's professional standards, reputation and values at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality regarding client information and business activities.

Key Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within residential lettings.
  • Proven track record of winning instructions and negotiating successful lettings transactions.
  • Experience conducting market appraisals, landlord meetings and business development activities.
  • Strong understanding of residential lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and maintain high-value client relationships.
  • Experience managing transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue and performance targets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and commercially minded.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
