Associate – Litigation

MRA Search is partnering exclusively with Conyers in their search for an ambitious and talented lawyer to join its top-tier Litigation & Restructuring Group in the Cayman Islands. The Group has extensive experience advising blue-chip clients on high stakes litigation assignments. The Group is increasingly instructed on the highest profile cases in the Cayman Courts, with multiple appearances in the Court of Appeal and Privy Council in recent times.

Conyers is part of the offshore ‘Magic Circle’, with strength and depth across a variety of practice groups. That means that the firm’s litigators work on a wide range of contentious mandates involving, for example, investment funds, fiduciaries, listed companies, managers and insurers. They assist clients around the world and work closely with onshore counsel.

What Will You Do

  • Advise leading clients on cross-border litigation and complex mandates, gaining direct exposure to the most sophisticated work in the offshore market
  • Collaborate closely with partners, counsel and senior associates who are committed to your professional development, receiving hands-on mentorship and meaningful feedback
  • Work on novel matters in a jurisdiction at the forefront of global financial services, helping to shape legal precedent
  • Engage directly with clients from day one
  • Contribute to multi-jurisdictional matters alongside colleagues in other offices, broadening your perspective and skill set
  • Participate in business development initiatives, industry events, and thought leadership opportunities
  • Contribute to know-how, client alerts, training and business development initiatives that reinforce the firm’s market-leading practice, while mentoring more junior team members.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
