Our award-winning Litigation and Regulation department, one of the largest in Ireland, specialises in providing strategic, results-driven advice to clients across the private and public sectors.
Our Regulatory practice is Ireland’s leading legal advisors for contentious and non-contentious public sector and regulatory matters, including in the financial services and energy sectors, and we act for many of the State’s largest and most significant public bodies across multiple mandates of sectoral and national significance.
Requirements
Due to continued growth, we have a need for a talented and ambitious Associate with 0-3 years’ PQE to join our department where they will specialise in regulatory law, advising clients on Irish and EU law. This role will include advising on emerging areas of law and the ideal candidate will be inquisitive, motivated and eager to learn. The candidate will work with an established market leading team and will have direct access and support to senior lawyers and partners. On the job training, mentoring and development will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have trained and have experience in both Dispute Resolution and Regulatory matters from either a leading law firm in Ireland or internationally or at the Bar of Ireland.
Key responsibilities

- Assisting with a range of regulatory matters across the private and public sectors including investigations, enforcement actions.
- Working with the team to draft strategic opinions and advice.
- Assisting with judicial review proceedings and other challenges to decisions of public bodies and regulators, including statutory appeals.
- Conducting legal research on Irish and EU law.
- Meeting with clients and assisting in developing client relationships.
- Supporting trainees and other junior colleagues.
- Providing support to other business units as required.
- Providing ongoing training to colleagues and clients.
