Salary: £35,842 - £42,514 Depending on experience + Benefits
Location: Based on site Emerson's Green, Bristol, BS16 7FS
NCC's future is as bright as ever. With exciting programmes of work on the horizon and continued investment in advanced manufacturing and composite technologies, we're looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Engineering & Manufacturing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on manufacturing or engineering experience who enjoys solving problems, supporting workshop activities and helping deliver innovative projects. Whether your experience comes from manufacturing, production, engineering or an apprenticeship route, you'll be part of a team developing and delivering cutting-edge technologies across a range of sectors.
The Role
As an Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you'll provide technical support within our workshop environment, helping to plan and deliver manufacturing activities safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with engineers, technicians and project teams, you'll support manufacturing processes, contribute to project delivery and help ensure resources, equipment and documentation are in place to meet customer requirements. This is a varied role that combines practical engineering, technical problem-solving and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting manufacturing activities and workshop operations across a range of projects.
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of manufacturing resources, equipment and workspace requirements.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including process instructions, risk assessments and manufacturing records.
- Supporting engineers and project teams in developing and delivering manufacturing solutions.
- Monitoring manufacturing activities and helping capture data to support workshop performance and continuous improvement.
- Contributing to project proposals and technical deliverables where manufacturing input is required.
- Working collaboratively with technicians, engineers and workshop users to resolve day-to-day technical challenges.
- Supporting the implementation and development of manufacturing processes and best practice within the workshop environment.
- Preparing clear and accurate documentation and project updates for customers and stakeholders.
- Taking ownership of specific workshop areas, equipment or activities where required.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting manufacturing, production or engineering activities in a workshop or industrial environment.
- Ability to follow, maintain and produce technical documentation such as work instructions, process documentation or risk assessments.
- Good awareness of health, safety and quality requirements, with a commitment to safe working practices in a manufacturing environment.
- A proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A collaborative team player who can build positive relationships with colleagues and customers and communicate effectively at all levels.
