Associate Director, Marketing
London | Full-time
£70/80k+ depending on experience + annual KPI bonus up to c.£15/20k
We’re looking for someone who understands that great marketing is about more than making things look good.
This is an opportunity to take control of the brand, marketing and creative direction of one of the UK’s most highly regarded independent, design-led furniture consultancies.
The business already has the reputation, clients, projects and relationships. It works with some of the world’s leading architects, interior designers and organisations, delivering exceptional furniture projects across workplace, residential and emerging sectors.
What they need now is someone who can make sure the way the business presents itself is every bit as strong as the work it delivers.
THE ROLE
This is a senior, hands-on leadership position that combines creativity, brand thinking, commercial awareness, and people management.
You’ll lead an established marketing team and take ownership of the wider marketing strategy, brand positioning and external communications.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll have influence across all of it.
But this isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit above the work and delegate.
We’re looking for someone with ideas, opinions and the confidence to make decisions. Someone who can set the direction, inspire a team and then get involved in making it happen.
You’ll work closely with senior leadership to understand where the business is going and make sure marketing actively supports that journey.
You’ll sharpen the brand, improve how projects and people are communicated, develop stronger content and partnerships, oversee major pitches and credentials, and introduce meaningful KPIs so marketing activity has a clear commercial purpose.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Furniture industry experience would be useful, but it isn’t essential.
You could come from furniture, architecture, interiors, property, hospitality, fashion, a design-led product business, creative consultancy or another environment where aesthetics, culture, brand and commercial thinking genuinely matter.
What matters more is your judgement.
You’ll probably be someone who:
- Has significant experience across marketing, brand or communications and is ready for real ownership
- Has excellent visual judgement and a genuine interest in design, architecture, interiors, fashion, art or culture
- Thinks entrepreneurially and naturally spots ways a business could communicate, position or present itself better
- Understands the commercial side of marketing and can connect activity to wider business objectives
- Can lead, motivate, challenge and develop a team
- Is confident around senior leadership but equally comfortable getting involved in the detail
- Understands language, storytelling, tone of voice and what makes a brand feel distinctive
- Has strong opinions, good judgement and the confidence to use both

THE OPPORTUNITY
There aren’t many roles like this.
You’re joining an established and highly respected design business with exceptional clients, an enviable project portfolio and genuine credibility within the architecture and design community.
You’re not being brought in to fix a broken brand.
You’re being brought in to take something already very good and make it significantly better.
For a creative marketing leader who wants influence, autonomy and the opportunity to help shape how an established design business evolves over the coming years, this could be a very exciting next move.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
