About the Role

This is a 12 month fixed term position

We're looking for an Associate Marketing Manager to join our APAC Journal Marketing team. You'll support the development and execution of marketing strategies for our China partner portfolio, helping to bring new journals to market and build visibility through events, digital campaigns, and content marketing. Reporting to the Associate Director, Journal Marketing, you'll work closely with Publishing colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders across the region to grow article submissions, revenue, and readership. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build their expertise in journal marketing while helping shape our reach into one of our most important growth markets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support go-to-market plans for your China partner portfolio to drive article submissions, revenue, and readership growth under the direction of your manager.
  • Lead new journal launches within your portfolio, from planning through to execution.
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across email, paid media, and organic social tailored to key audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with Publishing colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders across APAC.
  • Analyze market data, intelligence, and competitive insights to inform campaign reporting and strategy under the direction of your manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and core marketing tools (e.g., email marketing platforms, social media schedulers).
  • Ability to interpret data and campaign metrics to inform decisions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of marketing experience, ideally gained in academic publishing, the APAC region, or a large, complex organization.
  • Experience in publishing or another service industry, with a customer-centric approach.
  • An interest in, or basic understanding of, life sciences disciplines.
