The Opportunity

Stantec is looking for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate Transport Planner to join our established Birmingham Transport Planning team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in our continued growth, helping to shape the delivery of a diverse portfolio of development and infrastructure projects while supporting the growth of our talented team.

Based in our Birmingham office, you'll work on a wide range of projects, collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative transport planning solutions that help create sustainable communities.

About The Role

Reporting to the Transport Director, you'll lead the delivery of projects from early concept through to completion while supporting the development of our Transport Planning business.

You Will

  • Lead the delivery of transport planning projects across development and infrastructure schemes.
  • Prepare and oversee Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, transport modelling and environmental work.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage projects, programmes and budgets.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to business development.

You'll play a key role in delivering transport planning solutions that support sustainable development while helping to grow our Birmingham team. You'll lead projects, develop lasting client relationships, and champion innovative, low-carbon transport solutions that make a positive impact on the communities we serve.

About You

You'll bring:

  • Strong experience in transport planning, ideally within the land development sector.
  • Proven leadership, project delivery and client management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive approach and a passion for innovation and the future of low-carbon transport.
  • A degree in Transport Planning, Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.
