Purpose of Job

  • The Associate, OSP provides analytical and technical support across management information, performance monitoring, scorecard reporting, and data integrity relating to Banking investment activities.
  • The role supports internal and external reporting and analytics on the Bank’s operational, transition and impact, and financial performance, independently delivering standard and moderately complex tasks while applying judgement to interpret reporting requirements, guidelines, and stakeholder needs.
  • The role may operate across one or more specialist areas within OSP:
    • Management Information, Performance Monitoring & Scorecards
    • External Institutional Reporting
    • Fund / Donor Reporting
    • Banking Revenue Management

Background

  • The OSP team consists of around seven staff covering strategy planning, management information, and systems.
  • Strategy Planning: formulates the EBRD scorecard, Banking operational objectives and targets, coordinates strategic documents including the Capital Resource Review and Annual Business Plan, and assesses Banking performance against Business Plan objectives.
  • Management Information: provides regular reporting and analysis of investment operations to staff, management, the Board, and external audiences.
  • Systems: maintains and develops the Business Performance Navigator and Board Online Information, including data reconciliation and dashboard information on EBRD operational performance.
  • The OSP function supports decision-making and delivery of the Bank’s operational objectives through management information, analysis, planning, scorecard monitoring, portfolio analytics, and external reporting, including to rating agencies, shareholders, international institutions, and donor/fund administrators.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

The incumbent may be required to perform other relevant duties in line with business needs. The role covers core responsibilities and selected specialist accountabilities as follows:

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and contribute to annual, quarterly, and monthly reporting of Bank activities to the Board, ExCom, and Client Services Group.
  • Produce and maintain data warehouse reports for management information and scorecard monitoring.
  • Analyse Banking investment operations to support business reviews and regular reporting.
  • Develop and maintain information portals that provide data, management information, and analysis across the Bank.
  • Contribute to forecasting processes supporting the planning cycle, including the SCF and SIP.
  • Identify data integrity issues, assess impact with OSP management, apply judgement to resolve standard and moderately complex issues, and implement process improvements.
  • Represent OSP in cross-departmental projects and act as a subject matter expert.
  • Support Bank users with data requirements, ensuring timely delivery in line with OSP SLAs.

Revenue Management

  • Develop financial performance analytics to support decision-making and Banking strategy.
  • Develop Segmented P&L models for Banking forecasting, planning, and reporting.
  • Work with Capital and Liquidity Planning to develop RAROC targets and thresholds supporting pricing decisions and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Act as a point of contact for senior Banking leaders to improve understanding and use of financial data and analytics across the Banking department.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience in management information roles within blue-chip or professional organisations, working with financial and non-financial data.
  • Strong experience in data mining, preferably using Cognos, Tableau, and/or relational and multidimensional databases.
  • Strong understanding of data warehouse reporting environments, MIS systems, pipeline, and portfolio dynamics.
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to analyse large datasets.
  • Experience in external, shareholder, rating agency, international institution, donor-funded, or structured reporting frameworks is advantageous.

Skills

  • Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulae and macros.
  • Strong drafting, reporting, numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly.
  • Ability to work independently across standard and moderately complex tasks, interpret guidelines, and support continuous improvement of processes and workstreams.

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
