The Opportunity

We’re looking for a sales professional to support CoinDesk’s Global Media & Events Partnerships team throughout the entire deal lifecycle as well as generate new business leads. In this role, you will help the team drive revenue and achieve business goals by being proactive and maximizing efficiency to deliver results. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, good attention to detail, a customer-centric mindset and be self-accountable to ensure sales targets are achieved and exceeded.

The position reports to the Head of Partnerships, EMEA & APAC who is based in London and will require working onsite from our London office.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Partnerships team throughout the full deal lifecycle to help drive business development initiatives.
  • Communicate with clients directly to facilitate responses to outstanding questions and move negotiations forward.
  • Create lead generation opportunities for the Partnerships team by connecting with targeted accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Assess the competitive environment and identify and pursue new business targets.
  • Assist the Partnerships and Digital & Event Operations teams with client communication, executing agreements, outlining and collecting deliverables, reporting, and help advance deal progress internally.
  • Track revenue and manage digital media and events inventory.
  • Share insights with teammates generated from competitive research analysis and stay informed on industry trends as well as market movements.
  • Maintain data integrity in Salesforce and other reporting systems for all sales activity and pipeline metrics.

What You Have:

  • Strong relationship building skills with an ability to collaborate with a global team. Bonus points for prior experience in a client-facing sales role.
  • Desire to learn about media & events products and client landscape through self-guided learning and knowledge sharing from teammates
  • Knowledge and passion for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.
  • Ability to demonstrate ownership of your role through self-accountability and effective communication.
  • You are results-oriented and strive to help the team exceed revenue targets
  • Intrinsically motivated to be a high performer who helps teams maximize efficiency through output and solutions-oriented problem solving
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial - you can keep yourself as well as others organized and on track to deliver against objectives
  • Previous experience and proficiency with Excel, Powerpoint, Slack, G Suite, AI tools, LinkedIn. Experience using Salesforce or similar CRMs is plus.
