The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Associate to join a highly regarded claimant litigation team handling varied, complex and high-quality work.
The successful candidate will advise individuals who have suffered serious and, in some cases, life-changing injuries. They will manage their own caseload while working alongside experienced senior lawyers on larger and more complex claims.
The role would suit a motivated and technically capable solicitor who can demonstrate strong claimant litigation experience, commercial awareness and a commitment to delivering an exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of claimant personal injury and clinical negligence matters.
- Progress claims from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
- Advise clients on liability, quantum, litigation strategy and associated legal issues.
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, schedules of loss and other court documents.
- Instruct and liaise with counsel, medical experts and other professional advisers.
- Attend client meetings, conferences, mediations and court hearings where required.
- Support senior solicitors on complex and high-value litigation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
- Contribute to business development, networking and the continued growth of the team.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and procedural developments.
- Record time accurately and work effectively against agreed targets and deadlines.

About You
The successful candidate will be:
- A qualified solicitor with approximately 2–5 years PQE.
- Experienced in claimant personal injury and/or clinical negligence litigation.
- Able to manage a caseload independently with appropriate supervision.
- Comfortable handling matters throughout the litigation process.
- Technically strong, with excellent drafting and analytical skills.
- Commercially aware and confident making strategic decisions.
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail.
- A clear and empathetic communicator who can build trusted client relationships.
- Proactive, professional and committed to delivering high-quality work.
- Interested in contributing to business development and raising their professional profile.
- Keen to develop their career within a collaborative specialist team.
