Job Title: Associate Planner: Infrastructure and Major Projects
Location: Birmingham, Bristol or London Offices

Are you an experienced Planner ready to take the next step in your career? We're working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy looking to appoint an Associate Planner to support the continued growth of its nationally recognised infrastructure planning team.
This is an opportunity to play a leading role in delivering some of the UK's most significant infrastructure, energy and regeneration projects, working alongside specialists across environmental planning, sustainability, land, and property disciplines.

The Role
As an Associate Planner, you'll lead the delivery of complex infrastructure projects from early strategy through to consent, while supporting the growth of the wider planning team.

You'll be responsible for managing projects, advising clients, engaging with key stakeholders, mentoring junior planners, and contributing to winning new work across an expanding portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead infrastructure planning projects through all stages of the planning process.
- Prepare high-quality planning statements, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Manage relationships with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic planning advice on nationally significant infrastructure and major development projects.
- Support business development activities, including proposals and client engagement.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the planning team.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard.
About You
We're keen to speak with experienced planners who can demonstrate:
- MRTPI qualification.
- Strong background in infrastructure, energy, or major projects planning.
- Experience working on large-scale planning applications or nationally significant infrastructure projects.
- Excellent project management and report writing skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to develop lasting client relationships.
- A collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for mentoring others.
