Associate Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure

Location: London
Client: Institutional Investor | Private Markets

Australian Retirement Trust (ART) is one of the world’s largest superannuation funds, managing over A$370 billion for more than 2.4 million members. With a growing international investment platform, ART’s London office plays an important role in overseeing infrastructure investments across the UK and Europe.

ART is seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager – Infrastructure to join the London investment team and support the management and development of its infrastructure portfolio. Working closely with senior investment professionals, the successful candidate will contribute to transaction execution, portfolio monitoring, and investment analysis across a diversified infrastructure portfolio spanning sectors such as transport, utilities, digital infrastructure, and power.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support infrastructure investment transactions, including acquisitions and divestments
  • Assist with due diligence, financial modelling and preparation of investment papers
  • Monitor portfolio assets and support asset management oversight alongside external managers
  • Contribute to portfolio reporting and strategic investment reviews
  • Support relationship management with infrastructure managers and advisors
  • Collaborate with colleagues across ART’s global investment platform

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 7 years professional tenure
  • Experience in infrastructure or private markets investing within an asset owner, asset manager, investment bank, advisory firm, or consulting environment
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capability
  • Commercial judgement and an interest in long-term infrastructure investing
  • Ability to operate effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Exposure to transport or airport infrastructure would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Ability to operate effectively within a global organisation and collaborate across time zones
