You'll play a key role in shaping and delivering real estate investment strategies across the UK and Europe, contributing to portfolio performance, investment selection, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement. Description

As an Associate Portfolio Manager – Real Estate UK, you'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the successful execution of our investment strategy across real estate assets and funds. You'll contribute to portfolio construction, investment research, reporting, ongoing investment oversight and optimisation, and investment decision making across the UK and European markets.
You'll bring strong analytical capability and commercial insight to assess investment opportunities, monitor portfolio performance, and identify risks and opportunities that support members' best financial interests. Working within our Mid Risk Assets and UK team, you'll collaborate with a broad range of professionals and external partners while contributing to strategic initiatives and governance activities.

Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:
- Contribute to the development and execution of real estate investment strategies across the UK and Europe.
- Conduct detailed investment research, analysis, due diligence and reporting activities.
- Support the underwriting, management and optimisation of direct, co-investment and fund investments.
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures and compliance with investment mandates.
- Prepare insights, presentations and performance updates for internal stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships across investment teams and business units.
- Support negotiations and engagement with external investment partners and service providers.
- Contribute to governance, compliance and risk management activities.
- Participate in strategic projects and initiatives that support investment outcomes.
Qualifications
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You hold tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce, economics or a related discipline.
- You bring an established track record in institutional investment management and real estate, gained within a pension fund, asset owner, investment manager, investment consultancy or comparable environment.
- You'll demonstrate highly developed research, analytical and investment assessment skills.
- You're confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders across diverse groups.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can present insights to senior audiences.
- Your ability to manage competing priorities allows you to perform effectively in fast-paced environments.
- You'll bring substantial experience reviewing investment opportunities, market trends and risk-return considerations, with the judgement to contribute to complex and high-value investment decisions. You're comfortable working with financial systems, investment tools and reporting platforms.
- You have experience in financial modelling, valuation analysis or investment underwriting.
- Your knowledge of international investment markets, particularly real estate, will be highly regarded.
