Job Overview: Associate Principal, Life Sciences (Pricing & Market Access – Europe/Global)
CRA’s Life Sciences practice supports pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and medical device companies in achieving long-term performance across innovation, commercial success, organizational strategy, and stakeholder reputation—benefiting patients, clinicians, employees, and shareholders. Our consultants collaborate with these businesses and their legal counsel, industry associations, advocate groups, and government bodies, from early research stages, product development, to successful commercial delivery.
As an Associate Principal, you’ll work within project teams alongside senior and junior consultants, being responsible for advanced strategic analysis and project management. Key duties include:
- Serving as a project manager and team leader.
- Directing analytical work, overseeing junior consultants, and guiding interventions.
- Managing mid-level client relationships and communicating project outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Anticipating potential project hurdles and assisting in budget execution.

This role demands autonomy—you’ll independently oversee part- or full-scale projects, devise analytical frameworks, and conceptualise strategies while leading diverse analytical tasks. Strong interpersonal and organisational ability, creativity, and teamwork are fundamental to CRA’s collaborative culture. The role requires deep familiarity with pricing and market access systems in Europe and globally.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute independent analytic tasks, contributing to the consulting project’s overall framework.
- Interface with clients to update progress and present results.
- Draft reports, presentation content, or summarised findings.
- Participate in project planning, budget management, and proposal development.
- Provide mentoring and direct oversight of less-experienced staff by reviewing their work and offering guidance.
- Engage with business development to co-create client proposals.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences (e.g., biology, biotechnology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or relevant analytical fields).
- 5–7 years of relevant consulting and/or life sciences industry experience.
- Proficient quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Demonstrated project management and staff supervision abilities.
- Self-assured client-facing, facilitation, presentation, budgeting, and planning skills.
- Deep domain knowledge of European and global pricing/market access systems.
- Willingness to travel periodically.

Work Location Flexibility
