About Us

We are champions of rail, inspired to build a greener, more sustainable future of travel. Trainline enables millions of travellers to find and book the best value tickets across carriers, fares, and journey options through our highly rated mobile app, website, and B2B partner channels.

Great journeys start with Trainline 🚄

Now Europe’s number 1 downloaded rail app, with over 135 million monthly visits and £6.3 billion in annual ticket sales, we collaborate with 270+ rail and coach companies in over 40 countries. We want to create a world where travel is as simple, seamless, eco-friendly and affordable as it should be.

Today, we're a FTSE 250 company driven by our incredible team of over 1,000 Trainliners from 50+ nationalities, based across London, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, Edinburgh and Madrid. With our focus on growth in the UK and Europe, now is the perfect time to join us on this high-speed journey.

Introducing the Trainline Mobile Platform Team 👋

Our Mobile Platform team sits within the Core Experience pillar, working alongside a talented squad of iOS, Android and DevOps engineers to shape the foundations that power Trainline's mobile apps. We're looking for an Associate Product Manager to help us build the platform capabilities, tools and processes that enable our mobile teams to build, test and release high-quality customer experiences quickly, safely and reliably. Your customers will be Trainline's mobile engineers and product teams, and your focus will be on reducing friction, improving reliability and helping teams across Core Experience, Customer Growth and New Business unlock more value from our mobile platform, including through new opportunities created by advancements in the iOS and Android ecosystems.

You'll help shape and manage the roadmap for a core mobile platform squad, balancing internal customer needs, engineering priorities and wider business strategy. You don't need to arrive with deep mobile platform or CI/CD experience; what matters most is curiosity, structured thinking, strong communication and a desire to grow into a platform product management role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

In this role as the Associate Product Manager, you will...🚄

  • Take day-to-day product ownership of the mobile CI/CD experience, working with the Engineering Lead and Senior Product Manager to improve how developers build, test and ship.
  • Support the weekly mobile release management process, helping ensure our apps are released reliably to the App Store and Google Play.
  • Run lightweight discovery with internal users to understand pain points, define hypotheses and identify practical improvements to developer experience.
  • Work with engineers to improve platform reliability, monitoring and alerting.
  • Support business enablement through new mobile platform capabilities, helping teams across Core Experience, Customer Growth and New Business unlock opportunities created by iOS and Android advancements from WWDC and Google I/O.
  • Manage and prioritise the squad backlog with the Engineering Lead, and help shape short to medium-term roadmap plans, contributing to longer-term platform direction with the Senior Product Manager.
  • Communicate priorities, progress and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders across Product, Data, Design, Commercial and Engineering.
  • Use data to quantify developer pain points and measure platform health, explaining the impact of improvements through metrics such as build reliability, release stability, lead time and incident reduction, while partnering with engineering leadership to build a strong, collaborative team culture.

We'd love to hear from you if you have...🔍

  • A curious, proactive mindset and a genuine motivation to learn, with an interest in turning customer pain points into practical improvements.
  • The ability to connect internal team needs to wider business strategy, and are comfortable working in an Agile environment, managing a backlog and navigating prioritisation trade-offs.

  • Experience using data to quantify problems, benefits and outcomes, helping others understand the impact of your work.
  • A motivation to grow into a Platform Product Manager role over time.
  • An alignment with Trainline's values: Think Big, Own It, Travel Together and Do Good.
