Your decisions will be visible through the content and ordering of a clear and transparent Product Backlog and roadmap, designed to best achieve the goals and mission of your product.
Using your analytical skills you will be identifying commercial and customer experience opportunities to elevate Insurance customer journeys across acquisition, in-life and through renewal. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Product team meets 1 day a week in the London head office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.
Key responsibilities
- You will be responsible for maximising the value of the product, becoming the subject matter expert within your assigned Product team, representing the voice of the customer, end user and business stakeholders and developing deep empathy within a complex and rapidly changing environment.
- Developing rapport and trust with business owners, key stakeholders and a highly technical Development team will be key to your success, as well as fostering a strong support network among other Partners in the Product team.
- With support from the team and the Product Manager/Lead for that stream, create an inspiring vision for the product outcome using industry, customer and business insights that supports the broader vision for Digital Product development.
- Setting clear and stretching objectives and key results (OKRs) to track the desired product outcomes.
- Working with the team and the Product Manager/Lead to build, own and manage a Product Backlog that is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the product team will work on next, providing clarity on the value it will deliver and alignment to the overall objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Learning to write clear requirements and ensure that the Development team has an adequate quantity and quality of stories ready for each Sprint.
- Assisting in the creation of functional and nonfunctional requirements in collaboration with Product Managers and Development teams.
- Delivering effective and timely communication of your product roadmap.
- Using insight, data and analytics to identify opportunities to continually improve and iterate the product.
- Managing scope and tracking progress of releases, ensuring features are handed over to end users effectively and impact of development effort is understood.
- Actively seek the support of Product Managers and the Product Lead to develop your expertise in relation to Agile practice, your subject matter and customer insight.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
