The Role
We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Digital Marketing and Analytics to join the Discipline of Strategy, Marketing and International Business.
This is a strategically important appointment for the School. The successful candidate will bring recognised expertise in digital marketing and analytics, with the capacity to contribute to the School’s leadership in digital innovation and AI. They will help position marketing as a vital bridge between technological development, consumer and organisational insight, responsible innovation, and business transformation.
The postholder will have a strong and developing international research profile, evidenced by high-quality, field-advancing publications and a clear agenda for future research. They will be expected to play a significant role in developing interdisciplinary research and innovation activity at the intersection of marketing, analytics, and digital innovation. This includes building collaborations across the School and University, engaging external partners, and contributing to a strong pipeline of high-quality research funding.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach and lead digital marketing and analytics-related subjects across undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education provision. They will contribute to the continuing development of distinctive, contemporary programmes that equip students to make sound marketing and business judgments in a digitally enabled economy. We welcome candidates who bring thoughtful, inclusive and practice-informed approaches to teaching, assessment and the wider student experience.

The role will also involve academic citizenship and leadership, including contribution to programme development, curriculum innovation, mentoring colleagues and doctoral researchers, and engagement with professional and business communities. Relevant industry experience, particularly in marketing, digital, analytics or innovation roles within multinational companies, scale-ups or SMEs, would be an advantage.
We particularly welcome applicants whose expertise can strengthen our ambition to produce excellent research, attract external funding, and create meaningful impact through interdisciplinary collaboration in digital innovation and AI.
