Associate Director – Quantity Surveying

Cambridge | Flexible Working

£70,000 – £90,000 + Package + 10% New Business Bonus

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate / Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to join a growing independent Chartered Surveying consultancy at an exciting stage of its development.

The business has built a strong reputation across the care, retirement living, residential, healthcare and hospitality sectors, working with developers, operators and investors across the UK.

With a strong pipeline and ambitious plans for continued growth, they are looking for a senior individual who can combine project delivery, client management and business development.

This isn't simply a delivery role. You'll work closely with the Directors and have genuine influence over the continued growth of the consultancy.

The Role

As Associate Director, you will take responsibility for key projects and client relationships while supporting the wider development of the Quantity Surveying team.

You will:

  • Lead projects from feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account
  • Provide senior-level cost and commercial advice
  • Manage and develop key client relationships
  • Oversee project performance and quality
  • Support and mentor junior members of the team
  • Help identify and secure new project opportunities
  • Develop relationships with developers, operators and wider industry contacts
  • Generate repeat business from existing clients
  • Use your network to introduce new opportunities
  • Work closely with the Directors on the growth of the business

About You

This could suit an established Associate / Associate Director, or a strong Senior QS looking for greater responsibility and a clearer progression opportunity.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Strong consultancy / PQS experience
  • Experience within care homes, retirement living or senior living
  • Alternatively, a strong multi-bed development background – residential, BTR, PBSA, hotels or similar
  • Strong pre and post-contract experience
  • Excellent client-facing skills
  • Experience managing projects and supporting junior staff
  • A commercial mindset with an interest in business development
  • An established network would be advantageous
  • MRICS preferred but not essential

£70,000 – £90,000 + Package
