Associate Quantity Surveyor | Data Centres | Up to £85,000 + Benefits + Bonus | London | Permanent
There comes a point in a Quantity Surveyor’s career where the next move needs to offer more than another portfolio of projects.
More influence. More autonomy. More exposure to clients. And, crucially, somewhere for your career to move forward.
We are working with a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy looking for an Associate Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role within an expanding portfolio of major Data Centre projects.
This isn’t a position where you will disappear into a large team and spend the next few years waiting for somebody above you to move on.
You will work closely with the QS Director, lead a team and take genuine ownership of projects - from developing cost plans and procurement strategies through to commercial risk, change control, final accounts and senior client engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
And the longer-term opportunity is significant.
For somebody who demonstrates the ability to lead projects, develop people and build strong client relationships, there is a genuine fast-track route towards Director level.
We are looking for someone with strong consultancy experience across both pre and post-contract delivery. Data Centre experience would obviously be hugely valuable, although experience across other complex sectors including infrastructure, mixed-use and residential will also be considered. MRICS would be ideal, but somebody progressing towards chartership can equally fit the brief.
Technically, you will already know your way around cost planning, procurement, valuations, reporting, change and contract administration. What matters just as much at this level is whether you can sit opposite a client, understand the bigger commercial picture and give advice they trust.

You will also need to enjoy developing people. This is an Associate role with genuine leadership responsibility, not simply a more senior job title.
Salary is up to £85,000 plus benefits and discretionary bonus, with a strong pipeline of technically complex UK projects already secured and more coming through.
If you are currently operating at Senior or Associate level and feel you’re capable of more than your current business is giving you the opportunity to demonstrate, speak to Damian Eatwell at Rework.
A confidential conversation costs nothing. Staying somewhere with nowhere to go potentially could cost considerably more.
“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
