About the Role
Our client is a leading European real estate investment manager. They are now hiring an Associate into the portfolio management function of its debt and value-add strategies platform.
The platform invests fund capital across real estate debt and value-add equity throughout Europe. It is one of the more established alternative lenders in the market, with a multi-billion euro track record across whole loans, senior and mezzanine strategies. The business continues to launch new vehicles and strategies alongside its existing funds.
The Team
You'd join a small, high-visibility portfolio and loan asset management team that sits across every investment on the platform. It's a broad seat — genuinely front-to-back exposure to fund performance, investor relations, and strategic projects, rather than a narrow reporting role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
