Group Description
Evercore’s Real Estate Strategic Advisory (“RESA”) group provides comprehensive advisory and capital raising solutions to private and public real estate-focused companies, sponsors, and LPs globally. The group is a leader in private M&A, recapitalizations and fundraising for real estate sponsors. The group’s diverse client base covers a broad spectrum of real estate market participants, financial sponsors, asset managers, public and private REITs, real estate developers and operators, real estate servicers, and others. Our full suite of investment banking services includes capital raising, capital structure advisory, M&A advisory and other areas of expertise. The group has team members in London, Frankfurt, New York, Los Angeles, Dubai and Hong Kong.
What is the position?
The RESA team seeks to hire an Associate to join their team in London.
Primary Responsibilities
RESA offers qualified candidates exposure to all aspects of the global real estate advisory and fund placement business. RESA is seeking individuals with real estate experience who are team players, possess the desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment and who are adept at overseeing and guiding junior resources. Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing a wide variety of projects (M&A, recapitalization/restructuring, fund and/or direct transactions); serving as the day-to-day deal team lead and primary point-person for clients
- Leading the due diligence, analysis and underwriting of real estate companies and/or fund managers, the drafting of CIMs, presentations and other marketing/due diligence materials
- Overseeing all aspects of the marketing process including educating the global distribution team and coordinating the investor roadshow and responding to investor due diligence requests
- Executing and overseeing financial and valuation analysis
- Supervise and guide more junior team members, including:
- Overseeing numerical and presentation work produced by analysts
- Interpretation of complicated financial and industry operational information
- Maintaining current and accurate financial data on industry participants

Specific Qualifications
- 3-6 years of relevant work experience at a leading firm in fields including but not limited to: private equity, investment banking, finance, brokerage, placement agent or real estate development companies
- Sector expertise in real estate preferred
- Excellent grasp of corporate finance, valuation, and financial accounting
- Superior analytical skills and demonstrated excellence in academic coursework
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work well in teams and articulate ideas
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and achievement-oriented character
- Highly disciplined work ethic
