Job Description:
About the Role:
We are seeking an Associate Reporter to cover the European refined products markets for the OPIS Europe pricing team. In this entry-level role, you will be trained to produce daily price assessments, news, and analytical content. The position reports to the Journalism Associate Director.
About the Team:
OPIS, a Dow Jones company, provides price transparency across the global fuel supply chain, including the Spot, Wholesale Rack and Retail markets. You Will:
- Produce Daily Price Assessments: Accumulate and verify spot market price transactions from industry participants to create accurate daily price assessments that adhere to OPIS pricing methodology.
- Develop Content and News: Cultivate industry sources to write stories for our real-time news service, author analytical content focusing on industry trends, and contribute to webinars and podcasts.
- Promote Benchmarks: Support the regional and global teams in promoting OPIS price assessments to the marketplace so they are accepted and utilized as benchmark references, which includes occasional travel to industry events.

You Have:
- 0-2 years of experience, making this an ideal entry-level opportunity.
- Demonstrated interest in the commodity markets with the ability to quickly analyze data, market drivers, and complex regulatory issues.
- Proficiency in Excel and working with spreadsheets.
- Experience in Power BI or a coding language such as Python is a nice-to-have.
- Fluency in additional languages.
