Maiden Marc Advisory Job Opportunity

Maiden Marc Advisory is collaborating with a prominent retained executive search firm, with offices in London and New York, to identify several Associate and Senior Associate-level candidates to join one of their core practices.

About the Firm

Covering the Financial Services sector, the firm has a solid history of conducting both C-Suite and senior business-critical searches within Hedge Funds, Investment Banks, Private Equity, and Asset/Wealth Managers.

Role Details

Working closely with hands-on Partners (each personally billing over £1 million annually) across their C-Suite, Front-Office, and Technology practices, the ideal candidate can either join a specific practice or rotate through the firm to gain broader exposure.

In this role, you will:

  • Build your network in the market
  • Manage senior professionals as a trusted advisor
  • Progress into a fee-generating Principal with the support of a well-established development program

Core Skills

Candidates should have the ability to:

  • Identify, reference, and proactively reach out to and assess candidates for active retained mandates via outreach, phone, in-person networking, and network referrals
  • Create detailed forensic competitor analysis, strategic overviews, bespoke market benchmarking, and product intelligence reports
  • Own pre-pitch/origination research and due diligence responsibilities
  • Execute on search mandates from day one, focusing on candidate management and client delivery, while working closely with Partners and developing further working relationships with clients

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The firm is in the midst of a 5-year strategic growth plan, and the addition of high-caliber Associate and Senior Associate-level talent with the potential to become future Principals/business leaders is crucial.

They seek candidates with:

  • Six months to six years of experience, preferably within a search or headhunting environment, though they would consider a high-performing contingent recruiter looking to move to retained search or someone from a relevant professional services background
  • Experience working on executive search mandates, market research projects, or the ability to take on detail-oriented, project-based roles
  • Excellent academic credentials alongside exemplary writing skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • An analytical thinking process coupled with a well-rounded communication technique
  • An engaging and driven personality that enjoys problem-solving, is motivated to deliver high-quality work, and has a natural drive to overachieve
  • A desire to build a career in retained 'C-level' executive search within a respected industry leader
