Associate Scientist Role
Talentmark are recruiting for an Associate Scientist to join a company in the medical devices industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is fully site-based in Motherwell.
- Conduct and plan small-scale experiments independently.
- Assist in the design and development of complex experiments and multiple diagnostic assays.
- Analyse experimental data and deliver clear technical conclusions, summaries, and recommendations.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Proactively identify errors or out-of-trend results, suggesting inventive solutions and continuous improvements to protocols and test methods.
- Present summaries of work at team meetings and to cross-functional groups.

Your Background
- Hold a relevant degree in a scientific subject.
- Working knowledge of GLP/GDP standards, Design Control, Health & Safety, biosafety protocols, COSHH, and risk management compliance.
- You are a methodical, detail-oriented, and curious scientist who excels in laboratory execution and thrives in collaborative team settings.
- You have exceptional attention to detail, strong numeracy skills, and a proactive approach.
- Strong communication skills with a track record of effectively presenting scientific data to peers and cross-functional teams.
