Talentmark are recruiting for an in-field Associate Scientist / Scientist to join an innovative life science tools company based in Cambridge, on a permanent basis.

The Company

Our client is a growing Series A life science technology company developing next-generation analytical technology for the biopharmaceutical industry.

Your main duties will be:

  • Deliver hands-on instrument demonstrations and provide technical support to customers across the UK and internationally.
  • Support Sales with customer discovery calls, technical discussions, conferences, and follow-up.
  • Understand customer workflows and translate their scientific requirements into effective demonstration proposals.
  • Capture customer feedback and work closely with Sales, R&D, Engineering, and Product teams to support adoption.

Your Background:

  • MSc with relevant industry experience or a PhD in a relevant field such as protein expression, antibody development, cell line development, or process development.
  • Strong hands-on laboratory experience with excellent pipetting and experimental skills.
  • Experience with protein quantification techniques such as ELISA, BLI, SPR, or SEC-HPLC would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging with scientific audiences.
  • Customer-focused, organised, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for up to 75% of working days.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
