The Role

A global private equity firm is hiring an Associate to join its Secondaries team in London. This is a three-year contract position within the firm's Associate programme.

The team invests with private equity secondaries sponsors across a range of transactions, including acquisition of private equity fund stakes and general partner-led transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build Excel-based models to value operating companies, funds, portfolios, and securitised structures
  • Support preparation of deal memos and assist with Investment Committee presentations
  • Represent the firm with private equity managers, company management, counterparties, and intermediaries during due diligence and monitoring
  • Coordinate with internal strategy groups covering Funds, Direct Investments, Venture, Infrastructure, Real Estate, and Public Markets on investment opportunities
  • Assist in deal closing alongside internal and external legal counsel, and back and middle office teams

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree as a minimum academic requirement; equivalent practical experience is also considered
  • Demonstrated experience in transactional processes
  • Proficient financial modelling skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Background from a leading investment bank or a private equity secondaries investor is expected
  • Experience in deal execution, including negotiation, deal structuring and pricing, due diligence, and legal closing is an advantage
  • Collaborative and flexible approach to teamwork

Working Arrangements

The firm operates a hybrid model. Most employees work four days in the office and one day from home each week. The role is based in London.
