What’s The Opportunity

Are you an experienced senior Civil Engineer passionate about shaping infrastructure, residential communities, and water solutions? If you are ready to lead a team delivering innovative designs for major development projects, you will be a key member of a team that values collaboration and innovation.

In this role you will lead and grow our civil engineering discipline, focusing on infrastructure design for large-scale residential developments, highways, drainage, utilities, and water sector projects. You will work on schemes that transform communities, from strategic masterplans to detailed engineering solutions for sustainable water management.

What you need to do to be effective in this role

  • Lead, manage, and grow the Civil Engineering discipline.
  • Deliver infrastructure and residential development projects, including highways, drainage, utilities, and water sector solutions.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, whilst identifying new opportunities.
  • Drive business growth through new and repeat clients.
  • Manage resources and deliver projects to financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and planning requirements.
  • Represent Ridge at external meetings with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee project profitability, budgets, and fee negotiations.
  • Build and lead technical teams using internal and external resources.
  • Champion technical excellence within Civil Engineering.

The core skills and experience you need to have for this role

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (or near Chartered).
  • Proven experience in infrastructure design for residential and mixed-use developments and water sector projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of highways, drainage, utilities, and water management.
  • Ability to communicate complex solutions clearly to clients and stakeholders.
