Associate / Senior Associate Commercial Procurement Solicitor - Leeds City Centre with Hybrid Working - Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

A leading national law firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join its growing Commercial Procurement team in Leeds. The team advises NHS bodies, healthcare organisations and public sector clients on a broad range of procurement, contracting and regulatory matters. Due to continued growth and increasing client demand, the firm is looking to recruit commercially minded lawyers with experience in procurement, public contracts or commercial advisory work. The Role:

  • Advise NHS bodies, healthcare organisations and public sector clients on procurement matters
  • Support clients through tender exercises, procurement processes and contract award procedures
  • Draft, negotiate and advise on procurement documentation and commercial contracts
  • Advise on procurement compliance, governance and regulatory requirements
  • Support major healthcare and public sector projects involving complex procurement arrangements
  • Advise clients on procurement risk, strategy and commercial objectives
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across the healthcare sector
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across commercial, healthcare, public sector and regulatory teams
  • Manage matters efficiently, delivering commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the team
  • Contribute to client training, thought leadership and wider sector engagement activities
  • Mentor and support junior lawyers where appropriate

The Candidate:

  • A qualified Solicitor operating at Associate or Senior Associate level
  • Experience in Procurement, Commercial Contracts, Public Sector or Healthcare Advisory work
  • Strong technical drafting, negotiation and advisory skills
  • Commercially minded with the ability to deliver practical and solution-focused advice
  • Experience working with healthcare, public sector or regulated sector clients would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Capable of managing a varied caseload and working effectively within a collaborative team environment
  • Ambitious, motivated and keen to progress within a highly regarded national practice
