About the Role
CBRE Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated Associate with 5+ years of experience in real estate, investment banking, private equity, or a related investment discipline to join the Portfolio Management team for its Global Flagship Core Plus Strategy, based in London.
The Global Core Plus Strategy is diversified across regions and sectors and invests through a broad range of structures, including funds, joint ventures, co-investments, club deals, listed securities, and operating companies. The Associate will play a key role in supporting the portfolio management of the strategy, contributing to portfolio construction, investment selection, performance analysis, portfolio monitoring, and client reporting.
This position offers significant responsibility and exposure to investment decision-making, portfolio strategy, and senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, cross-border environment and leverage CBRE IM's global platform, resources, and expertise to drive portfolio outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain portfolio analytics and financial models to support portfolio construction, capital allocation, and investment decision-making.
- Generate insights on portfolio performance, risk exposures, and strategic positioning through rigorous analysis of investment and portfolio data.
- Lead the preparation of portfolio reporting, presentations, and client deliverables for senior management, investment committees, and investors.
- Partner with regional investment, analytics, and operations teams to gather data, assess opportunities, and support portfolio management activities.
- Contribute to investment selection, portfolio optimization, and hold/sell decisions through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance portfolio insights, reporting efficiency, and decision-making through technology and process improvement.
- Act as a subject matter resource on portfolio analytics and performance, supporting strategic initiatives and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in real estate investment management, investment banking, private equity, or a related investment discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial, operational, and market data and translate findings into actionable investment insights.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities, portfolio performance, and risk exposures.
- Knowledge of real estate investment management, including portfolio management, acquisitions, asset management, and/or portfolio construction.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Python, AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude), and data visualization platforms is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, global environment.
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and committed to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams, regions, and functions.
