Associate / Senior Cost Consultant

London based, Independent Cost Consultancy Projects: Healthcare, Fitness & Wellbeing, and Commercial Office Value: Range from £500k - £15/20m Typically JCT Contracts Office Based - some site visits required

Salaries:

  • £75,000+ (dependent on experience). Associate
  • £60,000 - £75,000 (dependent on experience). Senior

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple or complex projects.
  • Helping grow the business through collaborative relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Greater involvement and responsibility in the management of the team, including fee income and resources.
  • Involved in proposals and bids for new projects.
  • Commercially aware, negotiating fees and scope of work robustly and efficiently with all parties.
  • Maintaining a network of current and potential clients and spending time with them regularly.
  • Managing individuals / teams and providing support on training and progression.
  • Playing a pivotal role in the engagement and motivation of your team and clients through advice, guidance, and leadership.
  • Covering the entire project lifecycle, from preparing feasibility estimates to final account settlements.
  • Supporting and managing graduates and junior staff.
  • Providing commercial knowledge and advice to clients.
  • Assisting with the APC programme.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel as well as the wider MS software suite of programmes.
  • Collaborative approach to projects and the ability to delegate tasks to junior staff efficiently.
  • Line management experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A flexible attitude and self-motivated.
  • Willing to go above and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • RICS Chartered (preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience.
