About Maconda
Maconda Solutions are one of the most innovative companies active in the UK construction sector.
We’ve pioneered new approaches to circular economy and digital Material Passports to support the built environment’s transition to a low-carbon future. Our clients are Tier-1 contractors, developers, major corporate tenants and the public sector; for whom we provide Material Passports and other digital tools alongside bespoke consultancy services. We also work within the critical minerals and mining sector from our office in Perth, Australia.
As a recent and fast-moving startup, we deliver a tech-enabled service model while operating our flagship industry initiative, ROMULUS — a major public-private initiative to scale circular economy practice across London's built environment.
We are committed to circular economy in the built environment but what really sets us apart is our track record. Our leadership team are all industry insiders with decades of collective experience working on complex sites - we build solutions that the industry can actually use.
Role Summary
We’re looking for applicants who understand site operations and project delivery.
You should have 1-3 years of direct operational experience on Tier-1 sites as operatives or junior site supervisors. Those with sub-contractor, construction engineer and main contractor backgrounds will be strongly considered.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
