Here at Sony Europe, we are excited to offer an early-in--career engineer the opportunity to join a talented team developing the next generation of technology for our professional products and services.

If you have recently started your career in software engineering and are looking for a role where you can put your technical knowledge into practice, explore new ideas and contribute to work with real-world impact, this could be the opportunity for you.

You will have the chance to go beyond traditional software development by contributing to ambitious, forward-looking and research-driven projects. Working alongside Sony teams, project stakeholders and industry partners, you will investigate complex technical challenges, experiment with emerging technologies and help transform promising ideas into high-quality solutions.

Ultimately, we believe this is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to accelerate their development, broaden their technical experience and play a part in shaping the future of Sony’s professional technology.

What will you do?

  • Design, develop and deliver technology solutions in response to real project and stakeholder needs.
  • Use software engineering, research and experimentation to investigate new ideas and improve existing technologies.
  • Build prototypes, test different approaches and analyse results to determine what works and why.
  • Explore emerging technologies and methods that could help solve future challenges.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into high-quality deliverables that meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Develop and manage your work using the tools, platforms and processes agreed by the project team.
  • Test and review solutions throughout the development process to ensure they perform as intended and meet Sony’s quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, project leaders, project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate your approach, progress and findings clearly through meetings, reports and presentations.
  • Apply creativity, critical thinking and attention to detail when approaching complex technical problems.

What we need you to bring?

Education

  • Degree in a relevant scientific or technical field such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electronic Engineering.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
