Construction & Engineering Associate (Renewable Energy)

Location: Bristol
PQE: 3+
Working pattern: Hybrid | Full-time

About the Role

A top-tier UK law firm is seeking a Construction & Engineering Associate to join its highly regarded Energy & Infrastructure team.

This is a front-end, non-contentious construction role with a strong focus on major renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

Based out of the firm’s Bristol office, you’ll work on complex, large-scale developments across sectors including offshore wind (fixed & floating), onshore wind, solar, hydrogen, nuclear, pumped storage hydro, waste-to-energy, tidal, and wider civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating construction and engineering contracts (NEC, FIDIC, EPC, O&M, supply and installation agreements).
  • Advising developers, utilities, funders, and contractors on procurement strategy, risk allocation, and project delivery.
  • Supporting multi-disciplinary teams on major UK energy and infrastructure projects.
  • Providing early-stage advisory input on contractual issues and project risk (non-contentious).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
