Emerging Markets Projects Lawyer (1+ PQE) London

Are you a projects lawyer looking to build your career on some of the most impactful power and infrastructure projects across emerging markets?

My client is seeking a talented 1+ PQE Associate to join its highly regarded projects team in London. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside market-leading partners advising governments, sponsors, lenders, development finance institutions and investors on complex infrastructure and energy projects throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East and other emerging markets.

You will advise on the development, financing and delivery of major power, renewable energy and infrastructure projects, working as part of a close-knit international team renowned for its expertise in emerging markets.

The role will involve exposure to a broad range of project documentation, including:

  • EPC, O&M and supply agreements
  • Power purchase agreements (PPAs)
  • Concession and project agreements
  • Shareholder and investment documents
  • Financing and security documentation
  • Government support and sector-specific project contracts

Applications are welcomed from lawyers who have:

  • At least 1 year PQE gained at a recognised international, UK or leading regional law firm
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial project documents within the power, energy and infrastructure sectors
  • Exposure to cross-border transactions and emerging market projects
  • Strong technical drafting skills and commercial judgment
  • Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
  • A genuine interest in international development, energy transition and infrastructure investment
