Kennedys is seeking an experienced Associate to join our Birmingham or Manchester office, supporting our work on defendant specialist liability claims.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a team handling a mixed and interesting caseload of complex stress/bullying/harassment/abuse claims on behalf of public sector clients with a particular focus on blue light/emergency services.
Team
Our national specialty team operates from seven offices across the UK, handling complex, high-profile cases led by Partners who are recognised as market leaders in the field.
The team located in Birmingham office is a rapidly growing team and is looking for a candidate who has experience in handling complex claims, predominantly working in the public sector but with some knowledge of working with SME's.

We adopt a team approach on the cases we handle for insurers, TPA's and blue light clients and so working collaboratively with team members and clients is a must.
Experience in blue light services is desirable and a high level of technical skill and attention to detail is essential.
This would be an ideal role for a candidate who is looking for career progression.

Required Experience
- 5 years plus PQE experience
- Demonstrable expertise in EL/PL complex/high value claims
- Familiarity with blue light services and claims involving stress, harassment, or abuse
- Ability to communicate with clients, experts, counsel, and witnesses at every level
- Proven track record with regard to hours and billing targets
