Company Description
Nurture Speech and Language Therapy is a small, independent service providing personalized speech and language support for children and families. Based in Leeds, Nurture offers in-person appointments locally and online sessions to clients anywhere with internet access. The service delivers traditional speech and language therapy for children of all ages, as well as specialist intervention based on Auditory Verbal Therapy principles for deaf babies and preschoolers. Nurture focuses on coaching families to support their children’s communication.
Role Description
The Associate Speech and Language Therapist will deliver assessment and therapy for children with a range of speech, language, and communication needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Conducting structured assessments
- Designing evidence-based therapy plans
- Delivering individual and small-group sessions
- Maintaining clear clinical records

The role also involves:
- Collaborating with families and caregivers
- Providing practical strategies for home practice
- Liaising with education or healthcare professionals when needed
This is a contract position with a hybrid working pattern, based in Leeds with a mix of clinic-based work and some work from home for online sessions, planning, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Speech Therapy and management of Speech sound difficulties.
- Experience working with Speech, Language and Communication Disorders in children.
- Relevant professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and eligibility for registration with appropriate professional bodies.
- Strong interpersonal and family-centred communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and explain clinical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently in a small service, manage a varied caseload, and use digital tools for online therapy and documentation.
- Commitment to inclusive, evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
