From cutting-edge defence technology to ground-breaking innovations our mission is to empower and protect lives. Join us as a Associate Systems Engineer at our Farnborough site, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.

The Role

As an Associate Systems Engineer, you’ll provide systems engineering and technical support to projects and work packages developing bespoke systems that underpin UK Defence Test, Trials, Training and Evaluation (T3E) activity.

  • Delivering own tasks and activity to time, cost and quality, working closely with Project Managers and seeking support of Senior Engineers
  • Working individually and as part of a team, you’ll integrate across communities acting as a technical point of contact for projects
  • Developing your knowledge of specific systems, solutions and technologies
  • Delivering systems engineering artefacts through project lifecycle, with support of senior colleagues as appropriate

Essential experience of the Associate Systems Engineer:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
