Associate Technical Application Specialist
Salary: From £53,073
Location(s): London, Leeds, Edinburgh
Hours: Full time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplace adjustments including hybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.
What you'll be doing
We are looking for an Analyst with strong experience in AI, automation and digital productivity tools to help modernise the way our Transaction Banking Implementation team works. Supporting a high-performing team responsible for overseeing the onboarding of the Bank's largest and most complex clients, the role will focus on using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate and Power Apps to simplify processes, reduce manual effort and improve productivity and delivery efficiency.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on technology capability, proactively identifying opportunities to improve existing ways of working and translating them into practical, scalable solutions.

What we're looking for
Required
- Advanced, hands-on experience using AI and automation tools, including Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power BI and broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and simplify inefficient processes
- Experience translating improvement opportunities into practical, scalable solutions that reduce manual effort and improve productivity
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365 productivity tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams
- Proactive continuous-improvement mindset, with curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex delivery environment, managing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
- Strong awareness of risk, controls and data considerations when implementing new ways of working
Desirable
- Practical experience applying generative AI to business processes or operational workflows
- Experience within banking, financial services, Transaction Banking, client implementation or onboarding
- Knowledge of process mapping, workflow redesign, Lean or continuous-improvement methodologies
- Experience creating MI, dashboards and data visualisations
- Understanding of AI governance, data privacy, information security and operational risk
- Experience supporting change adoption, including training and embedding new tools and processes
