We're looking for a talented Associate to join our market-leading Technical Claims team, based in either our Birmingham or Nottingham office.

The role

You'll be joining a progressive and highly regarded practice at the forefront of complex defendant litigation, working with prestigious clients on some of the most interesting and challenging matters in defendant insurance – spanning serious injury, short and long tail disease, EL and PL claims, and matters involving human rights, discrimination and data breaches.

You'll be part of a high-performing and collegiate team, working alongside experienced Partners and Senior Associates, with every opportunity to learn, develop and truly thrive in the role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing issues around policy coverage, legal liability and how to value a claim
  • Managing and evaluating medical records and expert reports
  • Managing your own portfolio of claims whilst collaborating with other lawyers on task-based work across complex and high-value matters.
  • Driving business development activity, including planning and delivering client events, seminars and training programmes – both in person and online.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
