Role Overview
The Associate Technical Consultant is an entry-level, hands-on role supporting the delivery of technical solutions for SeeChange’s customers and partners. The role provides a structured step into delivery work, helping to ensure that technical solutions are implemented correctly and that customers receive a positive delivery experience.
Reporting to the Technical Delivery Lead and based in Manchester, UK, the Associate Technical Consultant works closely with the wider delivery team to support day-to-day delivery activities. The role is hands-on, contributing to system configuration, testing, data analysis, and technical documentation, while developing the skills needed to take on increasing responsibility over time.
The Associate Technical Consultant supports engagement with customers and delivery partners under the guidance of the Technical Delivery Lead, helping to maintain delivery quality and a professional customer experience. The role also involves following, and helping to improve, established delivery processes, tools, and ways of working.
Key activities include supporting technical delivery across customer engagements, assisting with deployments and integrations, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to help improve delivery outcomes. The role offers structured mentoring and exposure to real client delivery work, providing a clear path to progress into more senior technical delivery positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical delivery across customer and partner engagements, helping to ensure solutions are implemented to a high standard
- Support deployments, integrations, and upgrades across assigned customer environments, under the guidance of the delivery team
- Assist with investigating technical issues, carrying out initial troubleshooting and escalating complex problems appropriately
- Help ensure technical solutions align with SeeChange architecture, security, and operational best practices
- Contribute to pre-delivery technical discovery activities, helping to gather information that shapes customer solutions

Team Collaboration & Development
- Work closely with the Technical Delivery Lead and the wider delivery team to deliver assigned tasks and projects
- Seek out coaching and technical guidance to build skills and progress toward more senior delivery roles
- Contribute positively to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the delivery team
- Follow defined delivery processes and procedures, raising suggestions for improvement where appropriate
- Support day-to-day task planning and prioritisation in collaboration with the Technical Delivery Lead
Customer & Partner Engagement
- Act as a day-to-day technical point of contact for customers and delivery partners on assigned tasks
- Support customer-facing technical workshops, design sessions, and delivery reviews
- Help build positive working relationships with customer technical stakeholders
- Work with delivery partners to support effective integration and delivery execution
- Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Operational Support & Improvement
- Help maintain operational stability across customer environments, monitoring systems and flagging potential issues
- Support improvements to deployment practices, tooling, documentation, and runbooks
- Contribute to high-quality technical documentation, including delivery notes, configuration records, and operational guides
- Work with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to help feed back delivery insights and customer needs
- Support testing, validation, and readiness activities for new releases and features
Requirements: Skills & Attributes
- Some hands-on experience or a strong aptitude for software engineering, systems engineering, or technical delivery, gained through study or relevant work experience
- Enthusiasm for contributing to technical delivery work and developing implementation and problem-solving skills under guidance
- Developing understanding of modern software systems, including:
- Cloud-hosted and SaaS platforms
- APIs, integrations, and data flows
- Production environments, monitoring, and operational support
- Comfortable reading and beginning to troubleshoot code, logs, and system behaviour, with support from the delivery team
- Basic understanding of infrastructure automation and configuration management concepts
- Some hands-on experience with Ansible playbooks and inventories
- Familiarity with Semaphore or similar automation/orchestration tools for executing deployment workflows
- Good organisational and prioritisation skills, able to manage own workload across multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work collaboratively within a technical delivery team
- Clear, confident communicator able to engage effectively with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

Desirable Experience
- Educated to degree level in a Business, IT, Engineering, Computer Science, Data, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage, especially French, German, and Spanish
- Some prior experience in a technical delivery, engineering, or consultancy environment, for example through a placement or graduate scheme
- Exposure to customer-facing delivery within a SaaS or technology company is an advantage
- Some exposure to working with delivery partners or third-party integrations
- A genuine interest in progressing toward more senior technical delivery or consulting roles
