The team you’ll work with:
This dedicated Associate role is responsible for underwriting and portfolio management of cash management facilities. We are looking for the right individual to join the existing small team and contribute to this exciting opportunity by providing credit expertise and working with some of the most influential entrepreneurs and investors to help them launch and grow their businesses globally.
The value you’ll add:
The core responsibility of this Associate position is to support HSBC Innovation Banking's initiatives to provide banking services to our growing client base and to manage the associated credit risk. This includes working closely with our clients alongside our dedicated Relationship teams and our Product Advisors to underwrite cash management requests and ongoing portfolio monitoring activities through detailed and precise credit assessments and weekly monitoring of the portfolio.

What you can expect to be doing:
A passion for working with companies in the innovation space and subject matter expertise are required to effectively perform the following:
- Conduct and assist with underwriting due diligence, structuring appropriate cash management facilities
- Prepare clearly articulated and appropriate credit underwriting recommendations for Credit Officers
- Develop strong internal relationships with Relationship teams, Product Advisors, Credit Officers and Implementation teams
- Contribute to overall client relationships in order to support initial underwriting and ongoing portfolio management activities
- Assist with monitoring the cash management portfolio’s credit quality to ensure proactive and timely risk mitigation action when necessary
Requirements:
- Prior work experience and exposure to commercial banking products: Examples include Corporate Credit Card Facilities, BACS lines, and Letters of Credit
- Experience in commercial credit analysis of Banking products, including commercial cash management facility underwriting, credit and account management, and portfolio monitoring
- Experience in the innovation economy and/or working with fast growth technology companies would be a very strong plus
- Strong business writing, communication, time management skills
- Experience in working as part of a team and working with different teams with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated proficiency working with computers and Microsoft Office applications (specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
