Are you confident working with data and turning it into meaningful insights? Do you have a background in a numerical subject, strong analytical skills, and experience using tools like Power BI?
We're looking for an Associate Underwriting MI Analyst to join our team in Haywards Heath, West Sussex on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
You'll work within a small, collaborative team to create and deliver high-quality management information and performance reporting, helping stakeholders understand performance and make informed business decisions. We’re all about people and we’re passionate about continuous improvement, so you’ll share your thoughts with the team to continually progress our methods and team knowledge.

Enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working. Based within our Haywards Heath, West Sussex team, you'll primarily work from home while coming together in our office once a month to collaborate, share ideas, and connect with colleagues. We believe this approach offers the best balance of flexibility, teamwork, and development. If you'd like to spend more time in the office, we'd be delighted to see you there.
Core skills we’re looking for to succeed in the role:
- Academic Background: Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong numerical and analytical ability, with a logical approach to problem-solving and the ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful insights.
- Technical Skills: Strong IT and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel and SQL. Experience with Power BI, or a similar data visualisation platform, is highly desirable. Exposure to Databricks would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Experience in data modelling, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to a range of audiences.
- Attention to Detail: High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to producing reliable and robust analysis.
- Learning Agility: A proactive and curious approach to learning, with the ability to quickly develop new skills, knowledge, and technical expertise.
