The Role
The Global Sustainability Lead is accountable for developing and executing AGCO's global sustainability strategy, priorities, governance, disclosure framework, and performance roadmap. The role provides enterprise leadership across sustainability initiatives, integrating environmental, social, and business objectives into corporate strategy and operations.
Working closely with executive leadership and functional teams, the position drives alignment of sustainability programs, reporting standards, external commitments, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise performance improvement. This role is responsible for helping AGCO evolve from managing sustainability as a standalone program to embedding sustainability as a driver of customer value, innovation, competitive advantage, and business performance.
The position serves as a strategic advisor and thought leader, shaping sustainability priorities that support AGCO’s long-term business objectives, growth ambitions, and corporate reputation. In addition, the role requires regular engagement with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the AGCO Board of Directors, and the Governance Committee to provide guidance on sustainability strategy, performance, opportunities, and associated risks.

Your Impact
- Develop and execute AGCO’s global sustainability strategy, roadmap, governance framework, and long-term sustainability objectives
- Lead enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives and ensure alignment with corporate strategy, business priorities, and stakeholder expectations
- Embed sustainability into governance, planning processes, targets, decision-making, management systems, and performance measures to create long-term business ownership and accountability
- Partner with global functions, regional leadership teams, manufacturing, supply chain, product management, legal, finance, HR, and communications to integrate sustainability across the organization
- Translate sustainability priorities into customer, dealer, and farmer value propositions, ensuring sustainability is reflected in innovation, product strategy, and go-to-market approaches
- Establish sustainability goals, reporting processes, performance measures, and accountability mechanisms to drive measurable business outcomes
- Oversee sustainability reporting, ESG disclosures, external stakeholder engagement, and relationships with sustainability rating agencies
- Monitor and ensure compliance with evolving sustainability regulations, standards, and market requirements while defining strategic responses to emerging risks and opportunities
- Lead, coach, and develop a global sustainability organization, strengthening talent, succession planning, and organizational capability
- Advise the Senior Leadership Team, Board of Directors, Governance Committee, and AGCO Foundation Board on sustainability strategy, performance, risks, and long-term business impact, while engaging with stakeholders across AGCO’s global operations to advance sustainability priorities (up to 50% travel)

Your Experience and Qualifications
- Deep expertise in sustainability, ESG, corporate responsibility, environmental strategy, or related disciplines
- Proven experience leading company-wide strategic initiatives within a global organization
- Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks, regulatory developments, and performance measurement
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and drive change across complex matrix organizations
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Minimum of 15+ years of progressive professional experience as well as significant leadership experience in sustainability, ESG, corporate affairs, strategy, environmental management, or related disciplines
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing sustainability professionals within a global environment
Your Workplace
This role follows AGCO’s on-site work model, with employees primarily working from an AGCO location a minimum of 4 days per week to support collaboration and teamwork.
