Kennedys is seeking an ambitious Junior Associate to join our dynamic and growing team, based in Sheffield, Birmingham or Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or Associate with up to two years' PQE to build their legal career within a leading national personal injury practice.
You'll work alongside Heidi Swales, as well as experienced Partners and colleagues recognised as leaders in their field, while managing a varied caseload of complex and high-volume employers' liability (EL) and public liability (PL) claims. This will include litigated matters across the fast, intermediate and multi-track, with exposure to high-profile cases, leading insurer clients and matters that may involve cross-border quantum investigations. You'll be supported in developing your technical expertise, commercial awareness and client-management skills within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values practical advice, innovation and modern legal solutions.

Team
Our national practice handles personal injury claims across seven UK offices. Our Sheffield team is a major force in the local market and is ranked in the top tier for defendant personal injury by leading legal directories.
You'll work alongside experienced Partners who are recognised as market leaders, handling complex and high-profile cases. We're also regularly instructed on UK matters requiring cross-border quantum investigations through our international offices. We take a practical, client-focused approach, avoiding unnecessary legal process and delivering modern solutions. This is supported by our in-house research and development capability and award-winning suite of technology and process innovations.

Required Experience
- Minimum NQ-2 years PQE*
- Litigation experience is essential preferably within EL/PL
- Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills
- A collaborative and commercially focused approach
