Job Description
What is the opportunity?
We are looking to recruit an Associate to join the RBC Brewin Dolphin’s Scottish Charity Team, based in Edinburgh. This well established and successful charity team manages investments for a wide range of charity and Institutional clients throughout Scotland.
As an Associate, you’ll support our Wealth Managers in delivering exceptional advisory services, driving digital transformation to enhance client experience, helping you build genuine expertise in wealth management and the charity sector. Working alongside our experienced team, you'll gain exposure to complex client relationships and bespoke investment strategies while contributing meaningfully to our clients' missions. You will be encouraged to undertake professional qualifications, in order to progress to a Chartered Wealth Manager role within the Team.
RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
- Deliver high-quality wealth support under expert mentorship, ensuring clients' needs are consistently met
- Support wealth colleagues across client reviews, documentation, and relationship management
- Build broad expertise across investments and cash management
- Developing specialist knowledge of the charity sector
- Support business development and developing your network within the charity sector
- Champion digital innovation among colleagues and clients
- Collaborate across the office and National Charity Team to deliver exceptional client outcomes
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- A proactive individual who actively seeks opportunities to develop your expertise
- Genuine passion for the charity sector and desire to develop understanding on how trustees and organisations drive community impact
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy in written and numerical work
- Good communicator with clients and colleagues
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good time management skills, this is a demanding role where you will often be managing a variety of priorities and tasks

- Currently studying an industry recognised qualification e.g. CISI level 4 diploma
