About pobl.

pobl. is an independent talent consultancy specialising in medical communications. We're working with Red Thread Market Access to recruit an Associate Writer/Analyst. This is a permanent, early-career role, and a great entry point into market access.

About Red Thread Market Access

Red Thread Market Access is a market access and value communications consultancy working with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, from top-20 pharma to smaller organisations launching new therapies. Red Thread combines strong scientific writing with in-depth market access and reimbursement expertise, helping clients with everything from HTA submissions to payer value propositions and access strategy across UK and global markets.

About the Role

You'll help develop written communications for pharmaceutical clients, including global value dossiers, payer value propositions and objection handlers, HTA submissions (NICE, SMC, NCPE, AMCP dossiers, plus JCA), evidence and access strategy planning workshops, and scientific advice projects (such as NICE, JSC, joint advice and parallel advice).

The role combines strong writing with a growing understanding of market access and the science behind it. You'll research disease areas, build up in-depth knowledge of the data, and turn that into content that's accurate and clear for the audience it's written for.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
